The Role
You will be joining our recently created ‘Disruption Lab’ team. The Disruption Lab is a space equipped for experimental study, providing opportunities for innovation, radically changing how we do business.

The Disruption Lab aims to rethink how Northrop delivers value to clients so that every employee has the innovative tools needed to increase their contribution to value generation. Our growing Disruption Lab Team requires a motivated and passionate Full Stack Developer to join the team. You will be at the heart of the Disruption Labs mission to improve the working life of Northrop’s people through innovation and digital transformation.

You will be leading projects whilst supported by a close-knit management team. You will be part of a growing office with a great culture that includes regular team catch-ups, office events and regular social activities.

Key components of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing custom plugins for design software such as Revit and AutoCAD
  • Developing data connectors to move and transform data between applications
  • Design and develop front-end, back-end and user interactions.
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality as required
  • Work autonomously while supporting junior staff
  • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
  • Staying abreast of developments in AEC design technology and automation.

The Candidate
Applications are sought from candidates with the following attributes:

  • Experience automating workflows in the AEC industry
  • Proficiency working with APIs for different software (Excel, Word, Etabs, Revit, Rhino)
  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Expert with server-side languages such as C#, Python,
  • Proficiency with database technology such as SQL, OData,
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong team ethic to work collaboratively across functional groups.
  • Familiarity with server-side languages such as Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net., R
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MongoDB,
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Amber
